I’ve been where you’ve been.
One of the most important lessons I took away from a successful 16-year business career was that most people never get honest, direct feedback from the people they work with. Yet, when you are challenged by team dynamics, passed over for a promotion, or faced with a difficult decision, honest, direct feedback is exactly what you need.
How it happens
There are two components of our executive coaching program that make it so effective. Combined, they set you up to succeed not only for a specific project, presentation, or pitch but for the long haul.
1. A comprehensive onboarding program
To help you get the best results, we need to lay the foundation for your success in our Executive Coaching. What are your communication strengths? What’s holding you back? What feedback have you gotten in the past? Where is there an opportunity to make a real impact?
During this intensive session (which also can be split into multiple virtual sessions), we’ll start identifying habits that help or hinder your skills and define ways to make immediate changes.
2. Continuous development and improvement
Once we’ve laid the foundation, you’ll get a customized plan for achieving continued, repeatable success, to be completed in the timeframe that works best for you. Through ongoing coaching that builds on foundational principles, you’ll learn to ace communications strategies and deliveries that drive initiatives like product launches, strategic shifts, and organizational changes.
Whether you need help with crafting an important email, preparing for an all-hands, communicating a major change—or anything in between—your Sankofa consultant will see you through it.
IMPLEMENTATION
All coaching is customized to your needs, flexible to your schedule and provides experiential personalized learning. We will decide on the appropriate length of a coaching program, often from three to six months.
Coaching meetings occur typically every two weeks, for one hour each, either online through phone, skype or zoom, or in person in Accra. You will benefit from my experience in leadership development and change management with a broad range of sectors.

What is the process for Executive Coaching?
We’ll start with a complimentary 45-minute chemistry meeting to see if we are a good fit for your stage in life, personality, goals, and the time and resources you have available to invest.
Once we contract, you will receive an in-depth questionnaire. We’ll work from that information to establish more depth in our relationship and a mutual understanding of expectations. Our connection is key.
From there we define your goals. Your goals will be based on you as a whole person and will include your long term vision as well as your current situation.
Together we will discuss and decide what information to collect from others and if we will use assessments such as an emotional intelligence tool and/or a 360 instrument to inform our plans.
We will also agree on what information will be shared in your organization. Often, a leader doesn’t involve others. But if HR or a leader’s manager is involved, confidentiality is maintained and the leader chooses what information will be shared and how.
We design a plan to attain your goals in the 6- to 12-month program of your choice.
We track your plan and progress along the way. Sometimes goals get changed when new information emerges. We are flexible, always keeping our eye on the bigger picture of a person’s growth.
When we conclude the engagement, we review the original goals, the key learning and how it was applied.
We develop some next steps in your journey and recommend resources to further your next set of goals.
